Museum Day—Free Admission

The museum will be open to the public for free, in the spirit of Smithsonian Magazine’s Museum Day. Experience the photography exhibitions David Levinthal: War, Myth, Desire and Gail Albert Halaban: Out My Window, see the History of Photography Gallery, explore hands-on activities for all ages in the Discovery Room, and join us for the following activities throughout the day—all for free: 

12 p.m. Looking for Frederick Douglass panel discussion

10:30 a.m. & 2 p.m. Historic Mansion Tour 

12 p.m. & 3:30 p.m. Garden Tour 

1 p.m. Gallery Tour 

Visitors to the Eastman Museum will not need to present a Museum Day ticket for free admission, as all visitors will be admitted for free during regular museum hours on Saturday, September 22.
