This event, free and open to the public, is a capstone of Rochester’s bicentennial celebration of Frederick Douglass, celebrated citywide in 2018.
The program will feature a talk by renowned Yale historian David Blight, whose new definitive biography of Douglass, Prophet of Freedom, has just been released.
The event will also include music in honor of Douglass’s life and legacy, and a few other surprises. More information to come, including a full program. This event is not to be missed. Community groups, church groups, and school groups are encouraged to attend.
